Hello all I am working in 2010.  There is a dimension is a string of dimensions in my door family that I can not delete.  Does anyone know why this is happening and or what I can do about it?

Thanks in advance,

What dimension you are talking about...atleast attach a screenshot image to be more clear.

Some dimensions are tied to system parameters. In the door family the width is such a dimension. You cannot delete the dimension or edit the parameter. This functionality has been asked for by others.

This is an old thread, but in case anyone is looking for an answer...  rename the family file with .rft extension (this is a family template extension), open it and delete what you need to, then rename back to .rfa.  Should work with most things except system parameters.
