I am a new user using Revit 2010. I had a bunch of components loaded that I didn't need. So I purged unused. But when I did I accidentally purged unused that I want to use now. But they will not re-load. I can load families that have never been loaded into the project but any family that was in the project, then purged will not re-load. Help!

Are you really reloading a whole family or are you just missing a type?

What family is it?  Sweeps. gutters, facias, cornices and reveals need profilesand then have to be defined in the project using those profiles.

I am trying to load Conifer Trees and one of the Pendant light types. I click the component button then load family button. As I said before I can load other lights and trees and anything else I like as long as it was not loaded into the program before.

Try opening the family file independantly of your project (keep your project open) and then click Load into project.  When it asks you if you want to overwrite click yes.
