How does one add corner boards to a model? I'm up here in New England where most houses are clapboard, and I'm just getting into adding trim to the exterior. How do I model complex soffits, and returns and fascias?

Karen,
it would probably serve you better to ask more specific questions about one thing at a time. Try asking how to model a certain kind of fascia or whatever.

What is the best method for adding corner boards to a model? I've used a simple extrusion, but thought there might be a preferred method.

You can use a vertical wall sweep. Create a profile of the piece of trim that you want to make and use that for the sweep. Then just go around, add the sweep and voila - corner trim.
