Hi there, I need to model a complex shape that is based on a flat grid wrapped around an amorphous object. Each panel is fairly complex, but the grid itself is the hard part as it has 3 directional axes. Each axis is 60 degrees from the next (see attached PDF). The plan is: - set up this grid somehow (fixing the grid line problem & modelling the panel)
- create parametric blob
- create a curtain system by face
- ...and now i have a parametric curtain system (that will no doubt give me a 100 errors when i try and edit a parameter )
Anyway, my main issue (well... the first one) is this non cartesian grid. I attached a PDF of the flat grid, and a photo of a physical model of the result... Thanks to anyone who reads this, and more to anyone who can help! Adam (5th year architecture student)
