Hello,
I am trying to render a project and am having difficulty getting the artificial ground plane to turn off. I'm still using 8.0. The ground plane box is 'NOT' checked in the redering settings, however, a grey 'artificial' ground plane shows up everytime. I have a lower story and a toposurface thats wraps the building. But nothing below the 'grey ground plane' appears when I go to render the scene. Again I stress, the ground plane box is NOT checked in the redering settings...
Can anyone give me some direction about this? Thanks in advance....

I figured it out........ground plane 'was' checked in the sun and shadows settings in the settings pulldown..........whewww......

I was just experiencing the same problem that you were and thanks to your re-posting of the solution, I have remedied it. I'm a new user of Revit so this whole site is a great source of information.
