havent been on here in ages, which most likely means im doin ok with revit...untill today...

im trying to make beam system, which is goin all good, but i was wondering if its possible to have the beams set on the grid, or to have different distances between the beams, not just by default equal spacing...if that makes ne sence.

all the best guys and foward thanx for reply

Sounds like you should do a library object with a bunch of planes that set the distances however you want. Then you could set up a grid that does exactly what you want. Otherwise the "align too" is the only thing I can think of.

If I understand correctly what you are wanting to do, all you need to do is select one of the beams in the system and unpin it. This will allow you to move that beam independently of the auto spacing (or delete it entirely).
