 Using Revit 2010.

Hi, I hope someone can help me out on this.

I want to use a 2D cad detail in a family that can scale up and donw in size using the Scale Factor field.  I have tried assigning the Scale Factor as a parameter within a Detail Family, which appears to flex within the family.  However, when I nest it into another family or into a project, the parameter value is available to be changed but the details size won't change.  I have attached the family for reference.

Can what I am trying to achieve be done?

I'd be grateful if anyone can provide some advice.

Cheers, J-P

Im not exactally sure if that can be done, but could the error have something to do with the fact that the cad is not exploded in the family?

I'd rather be riding at whistler. or highland. thats good too.

I'm having exactly the same issue (10 years later...).

In family everything works perfect, in project the scale is fix.

I'd love to represent trees with 2D drawings on plan - and I have a lot of those in DWG.

When you explode the drawing, you loose the scale option. And when you make a group, you cannot scale it anymore, you can only put an infinite number of parameters and reference lines that will never do what the "importation scale" does so easily.

Is that a bug of Revit...?
