We've been workingin Revit now for about two weeks and things have had their ups and downs but we are getting it.  However, I have not been able to accomplish the following:

I want to cut a section of a wall at say 1/2" = 1' and add some detail that should be present at that scale and then I want to make a callout in that section with the detail lines that I just added so that when I go to the callout I have those lines I just added plus the new ones that I will add to fully detail the item.  However, my lines do not transfer from the section at 1/2" to the detail callout.  How do you do that so that you are not constantly copying and updating two or even three drawings every time there is a change withing the views of the callouts and sections.

Detail lines are 2D elements that are view specific.  A callout is a new view and only model elements will persist.  If you want to achieve that, group the detail lines, then copy and paste aligned in your callour.  That way any changes made to the group will be perpetuating everywhere the group is.

yes since the scale is view-dependant rather than model-based
