Need to tag elements and just have the tag number elements.

This is posible, but what if the element is within a group.

example: curtain wall system grouped.

insert tag that will reference the number count of curtain walls.

thank you.

hope this one has a solution.

Not sure of your question.  A tag can be placed on anything in a group and it will only refer to that instance.  A tag does not "count" items.

I realize that the tags dont count.

We need something in office that allows us to reference curtain walls and than edit the text so that we have a count in the label/tag (whatever)

I dont want to have general text over view inserted. We have a template profile that has been used in ACAD in the past. Now I want to make a standard template for the hole office to use this.

With regards to the tag in the group. If a tag for a specific element is changed and the parameter is set to type mark then editing the tag will change all other symilar placed tags.

Thanks for the help. Seems like I will have to find work around.

best regards

I think if you test this out, you will find that you re wrong.  For instance, doors in groups can have different mark numbers.  But if you are talking type tag... well then yes, you are right.  If you change the type in the group, all instances of that group will change to that type.... but that is what groups are meant to do!
