I have done this before but cannot remember how.  I want the duct size to look like this 10x12 not like this 10"x12"

Manage tab, Project units, Set dicipline to HVAC, click on duct size, change to decimal inches.  This will get rid of the " on the size.  Under the Manage tab, mep settings, click on the duct settings and there is a rectangular duct size seporator and change it to X, /, or whatever you like.
