Has anyone come up with a good wood deck material?  All of mine still look like wood flooring and not decking....

I am having the same problem.  I've got a deck in my project and all of the wood finishes look like they are for interior.  I need my floor to look like deck boards not hardwood floor.

There are alot of good wood material images in your Mats folder. I pick one of these and then apply a simple cutout image that I made in Paint!

Thank you! That will be very helpful.  I have another question though.  Is there a family of dimensional lumber?  I can't seem to find anything.  On another forum, someone said to create a wooden stick in a new family.  Then it is somehow parametric.  I'm fairly new to revit, can someone explain this a little better?

Have you ever really looked at the files in your library?  I suggest that in windows exployer, you browse through your library - all folders - and become familiar with what you have.
