Have done a scheme for a house. Last worked on it a week ago when it would render ok. Have opened up drawing today and now the render will not work despite not having changed any settings. When I try to render, it just goes back to the command prompt (as it where!) and waits for next command. Has anyone come across this ? I have imported a couple of cars (from this site) but have now removed these, purged and refreshed. These are the only potential cause of the problem I could think of but render still does not work. Other projects are still rendering ok so I know it is file specific ????

I have experienced this also. Have never been able to diagnose the cause and its typically been on large files. Usually decides to work again after a few days of working on it... Have you tried it on another PC? I think the quickest fix you are going to get will be sending to support...

I found the problem at last. Trial and error as usual. In revit 8 it was the fruit tree family. Whenever I got rid of these the render worked. When I put them into a project the render did not work. It has taught me to regularly test rendering is ok after loading families into projects.
