Hi,

I really need help as this problem is driving me up the wall.

I have 2010 and since install it has been working fine until 2 weeks ago when the grey bar below the ribbon started playing up. Every time i select anything this bar with increase in thickness up to 5 or 6 times, it makes the screen flash as its doing it and it also makes whatever you have selected move down the screen. This is more than an irritation as if you select anything before you can do anything with it, it has moved causing multiple errors in many cases destroying the model.

I have got round it to a certain degree by docking this bar at the bottom of the screen which has stopped the bar expansion moving my selections but it is very very irritating!!!

Has anyone else had this problem or even heard of this happening? and more importantly do you know how to fix it?

Many thanks for any help you can offer

 Bill

Bill,

I am having a similar issue with my 2011 Revit.  I cannot find the similar link you mentioned in your commend.  Can you direct me to it?

This was happening on one of our computers a few days ago.   Closing and restarting Revit seemed to cure it, though I understand almost no problems are that easy.

I was having the same problem.  I found a .vbs script that resets the a Revit 2011 Product User Interface by renaming or deleting UIState.dat (based on user choice) and deletes the Project Browser Regristy key.
