Revit 2010: We have a Structure link file in our Architectural model. We want to control the on/off VG on thier file so we dont see duplicate on ours. ie. in our elevations now we see theier levels, and when i turn on/off ours its controlls thiers aswell. we want to manage thier and ours separately.

When you have a model linked in you get a new tab in V/G for revit links. You can change the V/G settings for the linked model there.

Change the display settings from host view to custom in both the main tab then the model tab and they will no longer be grey.

How can this be done so it applies to all views in a project without having to manually change it on every sheet? 'Manage links' does not have a universal 'display settings' override.

You need to control this through view templates and assign the correct "default" template to each view.
