I am designing a kitchen and a beginner at revit. Do any of the kitchen cabinet companies have their components in revit. Any info is welcome. Eliz.

There are lots of cabinets on line in the Revit on-line library. For individual manufacturer's try the AutoDESK SEEK site.

Yeah, I've been there. The free stuff online sucks. I found some great families, but they are paid. In my opinion though, the amount of time they have saved me and how well they are built, has paid the cost back 10 fold. Check them out:
