Our Revit team is experiencing a problem. We keep getting an error message: Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library runtime error Program :...gram files/Autodesk Revit Building 8.1/Program/Revit exe. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's team for more information. The only option we have is to clik OK button and the program closes itself automaticly. Has anyone experienced such a problem? We have contacted the tech support, no solution so far.

I think i've heard of this issue before? Is it occuring on all machines? If its just one, reinstall revit on that machine.

We have done that, did not work. It has affected all stations (11). We have used back the backup central file from yesterday and it seams that the problem has been solved, but we all lost 5 hrs of our work. The conclusion is that the central file must have been corrupted somehow Post edited on 2005-08-25 17:15:09 Post edited on 2005-08-25 17:15:32 Post edited on 2005-08-25 17:16:15

Hmm. Well make sure you send the corrupted version to the factory so they can do some investigation to prevent it happening again. And if possible recover some of your work.

Hi, we also had that happening on our machines, came to the conclusion that there was some sort of hardware clash. We upgraded our machines to the HP dual co-processors with 5gb of ram and the problem has since gone away. It reached the point where we would save the jobs every time we moved something or particularly in rendering. That solved our issue. Good luck
