Hello,

As our office PC's have slowed down with the Central file size nearing 200mb, we are investigating the effects of various file optimisations.

In particular I am looking at fixing all the error warnings messages that have accumulated over 2 years.

The size of the warning list though has proven to be large. 225 pages in fact including:

- 3000 warning messages regarding "Line slightly off axis"

- 1500 overlapping lines

- 800 warning messages regarding " sketch lines off axis"

- 200 overlapping walls.

- Various others

- Numerous warnings that cannot be fixed.

Can anyway give me any shortcuts or work-arounds to reduce the quantity of these warnings without having to individually go into each one and sort it out. For a start, the " sketch lines off axis" warning won't even "show" me where they are, so how on earth can I find them?

When I gave the boss an idea of how long it might take he collapsed.

 Cheers

 Bo

This is a best practice issue.  We ask our project managers to regularly review their warning and AutoDESK recommends that you do that as well.  A regular review only takes minutes because you can use the show feature but waiting only ....

Lines slightly off axis are usually caused by tracing CAD files or exploded CAD files and best practice is not to do that.  These warnings should not be ignored except when they are un-avoidable and sometimes they are.  Over-lapping walls or duplicate items in same place is carelessness by users and I think have to be addressed.

I don't know of any shortcuts.
