I am using Revit Architecture 2010.  I am currently the only user on a certain project, however, I do have work sharing set up as there will be other users in the future.  My problem is that when I try to exit the file (after having already saved to central), I get a message that I still have editable elements in my local file.  My options are then to Relinquish or keep ownership.  This is the same message you would get if you didn't save before trying to exit.  I have just been keeping ownership for the time being, since I am the only user.  Why am I having this issue? I've already tried making a new central but that didn't seem to fix the problem.

I would also like to mention that my office has had some problems with a number of projects where the central file suddenly becomes invalid.  So far, we have been dealing with this by simply making a new central from one of the local files (yes, we lose some work in the process).  This did happen to this project - I am wondering if there is a file somewhere that didn't get deleted or something.  Could this be contributing?

 Thanks.

You get this message because you owned rather than borrowed a workset.  If you close without relinquishing, that workset will be locked to you.

So, if it is locked to me... will no one else will be able to access it?  I'm new to worksets.

If I relinquish, won't I lose work somewhere?

Relinquishing does not loose anything - it just removes a lock.

Read the section in your HELP called "Saving to central".  That will explain all of this.
