im looking to learn revit architecture and was hoping to get some insight in how to do so. i am successfully self-taught in CAD and 3D MAX but understand revit to be more complex in its conceptual understanding, work-flow, setup etc. the goal is to eventually be using the program in an advanced capacity. is it best to invest in a training course? tutorials and dedication?

Welcome to Revit World.... go to the Autodesk site and download the tutorials, they are very good books also see the HELP menu from Revit BUT first i think you should invest in a training course...

sorry. I am making a city site by importing revitcity componenets to a building i designed before. My question is, How do i rescale the revitcity downloads (the families) to the size I require?

Most of the families are Parametric, so, pick in the object and go to the properties, there you must have the dimensions to control the size of what you want (Lenght, width....) they could beInstances or Type parameters.....

actually there are no option in propertise that allow me to change the dimensions. the only possible way is editing the family and changing every single element!

It does not allow me to change the dimensions as shown in the image you uploaded (I am really not sure why) . The attached document shows the only options available for me. thank u very much for your time.

Because who create the obj. don't create that parametric OR could be an object imported from Sketchup or Cad file to a family in Revit, now you can't "scale" the object in project only in the family....
