Ive created a simple solid form for a chimney spark arrester, you can see it in the pic. Ive assigned a family type parameter to it for material, but when I apply a material it still stays grey. I picked it to be under mechanical equip when I started making the solid by the way if that helps.

i know the picture is in the edit mode so please dont say to click finish family.

what am I missing?
