Hello,

Ok... I have a stacked wall and 3 windows right next to each other with only about 2-3 inches spacing.... My problem is that i can't get rid off the cast stone sill between these windows.... because the wall sweep (cast stone sill) is part of the wall structure. See attached picture. Thanks in advance!

Un-stack the walls, then edit the profile of each to pull down this area as far as you want and have the upper wall fill it back in.

I'm not sure how you unstuck the wall... anyways this is what i did....

1.) I selected the "stacked wall" > properties > edit/new > Edit... > then I deleted the "upper wall type" leaving only the bottom type wall....

2.) from here on, I'm stuck! I can't seem to select the "cast stone" wall sweep. And if I select the wall and "edit profile" ...then this does not give me any option to select the "cast stone"... just the boundary of the particular wall.

Let me know! I know you are the man!

Sorry - I used my terminology - no completely revit's.  To "un-stack" a stacked wall (which is what you want to do), simply right-click on the stacked wall and select break up.....

Do what I suggested - keep the stacked wall initially, then break it up and edit the profile. See attached.

ok WWhub.... thanks for that info. I was able to edit the profile...but i can't do anything about the wall sweep. Actually when I broke up the stacked wall - the wall sweep "cast stone" disappear and what i really want to do is to eliminate the wall sweep segment between the windows. Thanks!

If your sweep was part of the lower wall, it should not have gone away.

Ok.... I think I know where the problem is coming from. I did some test - I placed the stacked wall (clockwise and counter clockwise) then broke the stacked wall and the wall sweep was still there. good! no problem there - that was the first test. The second test.... I basically did the same thing except I FLIPPED the wall by using the "space bar" and then I break it...then guess what happened? the wall sweep flip as well. That's why I can't see the "cast stone" because it was on the  otherside. But that's what I needed to know... thank you very much! oh ya one more thing WWHub...how do you stack them again?

Can't restack ... by why would you need to?

Stacked walls are convienent for placement but I see no need for them beyond that. The stack doesn't tag as one wall -you still need to tag each section.

When I use them I always break them up because they do not cleanly join with other walls unless they are identically stacked.  Edit profiles can mess them up as well.
