I'm using 2010

Is there a way after creating a fully annotated and keynoted wall section that I could then make that a drafting view?

We do many buildings that have typically the same type of wall materials and foundations.  So, I would like to know how to take some previous Wall Sections I have generated in Revit, and make those into Drafting views that I can easily plop into other projects for my wall sections.  This would make for creating wall sections for permitting fast and simple.

Any ideas?

In 2009 and earlier, we would export the view to cad and re-import as a drafting view but 2010 will now do that automatically.  I don't have it up right now but you should be able to find it in your help.

Oooh, that sounds good.  My only concern is whether or not the text and leaders will come in appropriately.  We have brought in a Linked AutoCAD file before, but we had to re-map the text from an .shx font to a .ttf type.  That worked great but the leaders were a little off.

I'll give this a try.

Thanks!

Worked great as far as I'm concerned.  Boss still didn't like it though.

Just thought having a project file with a bunch of wall sections would be easy to bring into a project that needs wall sections for permitting.  Fast, easy, done.
