Hi all, i'm still fairly new to Revit, using 2010 MEP, is there a good tutorial out there to place pipe connectors. also moving one that is already there, but in the wrong location? i've been finding really good models on this site as well as on autodesk seek, however, most of the models don't have any connectors built into them. i'm trying to do a commercial kitchen. on the download section here, for example i found a commercial coffee maker and an espresso machine that i would like to place in my model. they are located in section 11 - equipment - food dispensing equipment. neither of them have any cold water connectors built in. i tried to add cold water connector that is in the plumbing components family. and at this point i'm just fumbling around with it. unfortunatly i'm the only person in the company that has ever even used Revit, so there is not help here.

please let me know if there is an easy way to get this to work, thank you.

i'm having the same problem with bathroom fixtures, for example, a shower head and handle.

I have found some models to be Revit families, and others are just 3d families that can be used architecturally, but cannot be used in a family where you can add the connections.  if you go to add a connection and it wont allow you, then it is one of these type of families.

If it is trully Revit, then I usually just add a solid form circle, the same size as the connection you want and in the area you want, and add the connector to it.
