Dear All Revit users, I wish there is a simple way in Revit 2009 or 2010 of studying the impact of the shadow elevation on the adjoining neighbours in an orthogonal mode. At the moment the only available way ( and correct if i am wrong) is to create the study in Revit 2008 where you can use the old rendering engine to adjust the cutting sectional box that will determine the shadow range. If my information is old, can anyone update me, and if i am right, can we add this to the wish list. Regards Alan Mhanna www.mhannadesign.com

Use the regular shadow study tools to setup tha shadow study for location, time frame etc. and orient a '3d view' to an orthagonal point of view. Then run the animated study etc. So 'duplicate a regular 3d view' and then use the 'view cube' to re-orient that 3d view to an orthagonal point of view. Then you have an orthagonal view point from within a 3d view. This allows you to use the shadow study tools.
