is it possible to break the level line in elevation so you can have the tag on both sides but not have the line run all the way across the elevation?

*bump

Has this issue still not been resolved as of Revit 2012?  It would really help clean up my drawings if I could break the level lines like I can with the grid lines...

You can't do this and I don't believe I have ever seen it on the wish list.  If you consider it to be an issue, please place it on the official wish list on the AUGI site.

Think of the poor builder on site.

I would say if you need a marker/tag on both ends of your level line, then either A. the level line is too long on the sheet in which case you should leave the line fully intact so the builder doesnt need to find a long enough ruler and work out by eye what elements are on that line, or B. The level line needs to be that long because the elevation is long - in which case you should leave the line fully intact and have markers/tags on both ends - again, to help the builder on site.

If you feel the level lines clutter your drawing, maybe a change in line type, thickness and/or colour will help to differentiate it?

Thanks for the tips.  I was just hoping for a cleaner design document drawing, but I guess it makes more sense to just leave them intact.
