Does anybody know how to change the render material on the floor within the same room.
I am trying to place down a synthetic floor covering and carpet in the one room (meal / lounge)
Is there a way of doing it without changing the floor properties?

I would model the floor just like it occurs in the real world. You have a "structural" floor system and then on top of that different finish floor systems. Just make the floors on top of each other and all should work out not only rendering wise but schedule wise as well. Just remember the Revit mantra "model it like you build it".
