I am attempting to model a custom family member and am having trouble adding parameters that would function much like the Base or Top Constraint parameters in the wall family. Is there any tutorials out there on how to add a parameter like this. I basically just want to specify that certain parts of my *.rfa will constrain to specific levels in my project. For instance my model is basically a hollow concrete box , I would like to specifiy that the bottom of the box is constrained to level 1 and the top to level 2. I know this is probably pretty basic, but I am definitely missing something.... Thanks for your help

I think you got only one level in a family. You can make the top parametric and pull that up to your other level but it will not be automatic.

Here's a work-around. Make your family from the column family base template. That template has a base level and an upper level. I agree - you should be able to add levels to any family.
