Hi, I thought I would use this oportunity to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. I am currently working at Severn Trent Water in Birmingham, I use Revit Architecture on a daily basis for about 3.5years, unlike my other collegues I have thrown myself at it and am now using Revit to run all of my project, with no or very little assistance from AutoCAD, allowing all modeling, visulisation and detailing to be done through the single model. I would like to think that now I am producing technically and visually accurate models - which is what Revit is all about no? I have dipped in and out of this website, mostly for advice and updates, so thank you all to those who have given me the advice I have needed to improve. I am training to be an Architectural Technologist at BCU Birmingham (UK) in the final year of my degree part time. I am planning to set up my own business soon providing 3D visulisation and drawings to architectural practices and developers, hopefully this will take off soon, wish me luck. At Severn Trent Water the section I work under is currently under change, this will probably involve TUPE to another company, hopefully one that uses Revit, as I'm not sure how long I could work for without using it, or Redundancy - not good. I you happen to know of any jobs within our industries that require the use of Revit in the West Midlands area of UK then please let me know, I would be very happy to find out about them.
