So I have downloaded a few families from the site, and I never have imported them into revit. But The file that is downloaded will not delete or allow me to move it to a new file. Im running windows vista, and when I try to delete the file, it just has the status bar keep rolling and rolling, etc. Ive let it sit over night and it doesnt change. Ive also done it in safe mode. The same thing happens when i try and move the file to a differant location. It wont work. Also when i try and see the properties of the file, it wont show them. It acts like I never did anything. Please help me. I have about 3 files on my desktop that wont move or delete and take up space, and about 5 files in my downloads folder. Any help will be great.

Also, I have run CCleaner and under advanced, have choosen all the files i want to delete, but the program get about half way done, and just hangs. Again, i let it sit over night and it did nothing. Thanks for any help.

There is a post on AUGI that discusses this and gives some options: http://forums.augi.com/showthread.php?t=73488&highlight=delete+file

I have found out that it happens to me only when I use Mozilla in Vista when I download .rvt or .rft type files. To delete the files you can use this: http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/  and try with IE.....

that link to the program is dead and its getting really old not being able to delete or move files I download from revit city. It's like every 10th file is a virus. All I have to do is put my cursor on them and windows explorer becomes unresponsive. I am on a 3 month old win 7 comp and I use firefox. Revit city is amazing for all the stuff they have but I want to find a new site because of this stupid glitch that it downloads onto my comp.
