I have created a lighting fixture which I wanted to use as a linear light. I set the value of "Emit from Line Length" 2000 mm. But surprisingly on rendering I am not getting the desired result. The source of light remains concentrated in the origin no matter what the value of the said parameter is. Would highly appreciate if anybody throws light on this problem..... Angshujit

In your family, you will find a line that is your light source. You need to stretch that out to the full length of what your source will be.

Also, you need to render at medium quality or above for light fixtures to display accurately. Linear lights have a hotspot at draft, or low quality.

Thanks a lot to both of you. The point is that it has to be rendered in medium or higher quality to get rid of that hotspot in the center.
