I'd like to add a new MULTILINE parameter to our titleblock (similar to the Project Address parameter) for Project Issue Dates. The default Project Issue Dates parameter is a single line parameter only. I'm not too familiar with setting up new parameters. Any ideas?

Its possible but there is a workaround required. You can set any parameter to wrap the text after a certain distance (all parameters are potentially multi-lined). The harder part is forcing the text to go to a new line before it reaches the wrap point. This can be achieved by adding a shared parameter and applying it as an instance parameter in the Drawing Sheets category. (read about shared parameters if your unfamiliar) Then when entering in the value in the project, instead of just clicking your titleblock and typing in the value. Go to you view properties settings. You'll notice your shared parameter here. If you go to your project information settings and use the project address by clicking edit then type the multiline text as you want it laid out and copy it to the clipboard (then delete any changes you made here). Click cancel and in the menu displaying your shared parameter paste the text from the clipboard. (you'll only be able to see the last line) Now click okay. That should give you your multi-line text. Personally not worth the effort and your better off using text. Post edited on 2005-08-11 22:12:55
