How do you use the flip controls w/in the family editor? I can place them, but they are never assocaited w/ anything.

You need to have meaningful reference planes defined for them to work. To flip L-R you need a reference plane defined for "Center (Left/Right)" To flip front to back = "Center (Front/Back)" These are found in the reference line properties in the family under "Is reference" Also make sure that the define origin box is checked (ticked) so Revit knows this is the flip point for the family. The help Revit file can be a little assuming and leave important stuff out. That is why forums like this are invaluable right now. Until all of this "tribal knowledge" get well documented into any easy to read clear and consise manual, Revit is going to face an uphill battle when it comes to massive sales IMHO. Revit is a great program, but I worry that it will wither on the vine unless this issue is addressed. Just because something is great and wonderful does not mean that it will see mass adoption in the marketplace (Beta tapes come to mind). Tom
