when copying a typical stair to multiple locations, I repeatedly get the error message "Can't cut open/middle stringers geometry." resulting in a stair not cutting into the floor above or below and hence, displaying incorrectly.
am I doing something wrong?

I got this message in 2012. My stair had middle stringers set to 0. So i set the value to 1. hit apply and close, then edit type again to change it back to 0 and the warning went away.
