Ok so i'm usually very good with Type Catalogs but i just can't seem to figure this one issue out.. and its driving me nuts.

When building a Catalog i included the Parameter "Model", but when i load it into a project i get the following error:

"The parameter Model doesn't exist in the Family. It will be ignored"

But it does exist i can see it... any thoughts :S

If someone would like to see the model and Type Catalog please email me as it is for a client and i don't want to submit it until they have approved it. That and it is on the larger side (as per their requirements).

I was really surprised no one was able to figure this out!!!

Thank goodness i have a contact at Autodesk who was able to finally get back to me on it.

So heres how to advoid this issue when loading a Type Catalog into a Project.

There is a glitch in Revit that for some Parameters if it is left blank prior to being loaded that the Type Catalog will not know how to place the data into the Value of that Parameter.  So i was required to fill in some text before loading and that cleared it up!!! nice and simple.  This is not the case with all Parameters, jsut i think with the Default items provided with the Family Template.

Hopefully this will help someone else in the future!
