I have created single story home in Revit 2008. Can anybody help me to make Kitchen counter top & Closet shelf? In Autocad, we can make all type of required shape & then extrude and move at required height...Done! But I don't know how to do this in Revit. Please let me know so that I can move on. Thanks.

This is even easier in REVIT. For the countertop and shelf, you can use the counter family that comes in your library. For the shelf, you may have to assign a new type with a different width.

Wow!! Thanks... This is awesome... Attached image is the shape of my countertop. Can you please tell me how to make it or join the geometry of the existing counters. I just tried to use L-shape & Single counter top with sink. When I try to arrange them as per my Kitchen shape, it overlaps on eachother. can I join geometry to avoid overlap? I tried that comand but doesn't work. Thanks.

Sorry but this is a special shaped counter. I would do an in-place family... Simple plan extrusion - category casework ... sketch it in plan - set your extrusion start and end - materials and even sketch the hole for the sink - all done in about 2-5 minutes.

If you create an in-place family - that's the first thing that pops up!!!! If you create a family outside of the project, you select the right template then under settings/categories and parameters.... The AutoDESK siste has a gread PDF on all of this information - I suggest you find that and refer to it.
