I was just wondering if it was possible to make an instance parameter in a family to be editable through the options bar? for example: a box family with instance parameters for length and width. i would like to be able to input values for the two parameters via the options bar rather than having to go into the element propertes of the component. is this possible?

I think you can accomplish this with a 'Tag' that has the 'labels' that contains the same linear parameter as the ones you want to change. Same general outcome as your 'options bar' approach without having to use the options bar to host the information. Tag the object and drive the parameters from the tag itself.
