By default Revit replaces demo'd door and window OPENINGS with two solid parallel lines to represent the new wall in the door's place. Is there a way to make the demo'd door replace the door opening with a solid FILLED wall instead of two solid parallel lines? I hope that makes sense. I've tried a number of different settings with no luck. I'll probably have to resort to using a fill region. Post edited on 2005-08-09 21:00:11

Revit places a wall in the demolished doors opening as an infill. The wall will be by default in a newer phase than the demolished door since the door was an existing object. Therefore how Revit displays the new infill wall will depend on your phase filter settings and what your wall display settings are. Tom

I changed the "Coarse Scale Fill Pattern" (under the wall type properties) from NO PATTERN to SOLID FILL to get the effect I was looking for. Unfortunately, when I go back to an EXISTING phase view the entire wall is now filled in. I guess I'm still looking for a solution beyond simply using filled regions. I just discovered that you can change the wall type of the infill wall, problem solved.

CREATE A NEW WALL, CLICK ON INFILLED WALL AND REPLACE IT WITH THE NEW DESIRED WALL.
