Hi Folks, I have created a rather large elliptical wall for a building I’m modelling. This caused me some trouble because I cannot select an elliptical line to create a wall.I got around this by creating a mass and then selecting faces to create my walls. Job done. But now I need to create a door opening on that wall but for some reason when I’m prompted to select the host for the opening, I can't select this wall. I'm assuming it's because of the ellipse as I’ve done this on a few other areas with normal walls. If anyone knows a solution or workaround it would be greatly appreciated. ash86

I would try creating an in-place wall family, then create a void form extrusion that is the shape of your opening, then use this to cut geometry out of the wall. It should create the opening you need, regardless of the curving wall, but would not be a parametric opening, like a standard door opening.
