When creating doors/windows whats the difference between rough width/height and width/height??

That all depends on how the family assigns them. The rough dimensions may be model parameters or just number parameters for schedules. The stock template does not assign these but they are setup as a standard parameter for consistency. The width/height are used as model parameters and are assigned as labels in the template.

Thanks, so the rough height and width can be made anything essentially when a family is created? I had thought maybe one might be frame size and the other opening size or something but it seems it can mean whatever the creator wishes. Thanks for the reply.
