Is there a way when creating family types to import/link a different cad format to each family type? For example, I want to create a wall based mailbox component, I can set up parameters that will adjust the height width and what not for the different size mailboxes the manufacturer has available. In order to cut down on model sizes and complexity I would like to import a cad drawing showing the tenant and parcel boxes just as line work. (cad files from auth-florence.com) This works fine until i need to switch do a different family type and import a different cad file. Is there anyway to do this or should i just make a different file/family for each mailbox?

You can do this with y/n visibility switches but the formula of nested if's could be a pain to write.  Why not do it with seperate families... build the first - save it then just continue to edit it/save as for all you different ones creating a new family fo each.  If they all have the same origins... they should swap out just fine.
