How can we see the swing direction (left or right) in a door schedule?

See video turorial below.

Well it sure would be nice if we could associate the door 'flip' controls with a swing designation but I don't think you can.

You can however use a 'shared parameter' to at least tabulate the information. This is a manual text parameter and not automatic so although the information can be scheduled it needs to be manually checked for accuracy.

Here's the video tutorial below:

Thank you Daryl, I kind of knew this solution. Indeed is a workaround, but I imagine that some experts did already a macro or something to solve the problem automatically.

I know that there is a plugin, "revittools" which works, but is expensive.

Autodesk has a big fault in not implementing this tool which is common-sense need for architects...

I still wait for a macro, though...

I have an ideea but I don't know if it can be applied: if the trigonometrical angle of the swing could be read, than we can get the swing direction:

for an angle from 0-90 or from 180 to 270 > LH

for an angle from 90-180 or from 270 to 360 > RH

Of course the angle shall be read considering the hinge as center and the wall line as  180-0 line.

Any macro-maker? could this be a solution?

XDoor does that. It places the classification in a parameter.
