Hi,

I'm using revit 2010 and use 3rd party materials in my building. I've assigned materials to different elements and all seems to be working well, except that revit doesn't seem to be able to remember more than 1 path to an 'external' material image file. For instance, if I add concrete to my walls, I loose the wood on the door and vice versa. Anyone ran into this problem before?

i have the same issue trying to use materials that are not in the presets folder for Revit. Under Options/Rendering I add the path to the texture map I am using. The problem is I have to do this everytime I open the project Sad

odd stuff Alabaster: added external material to the floor in addition to the walls and those two seemed fine, whereas the external material on the door and wall don't seem to like each other ... if anyone has a clue ... will keep toying around with it until frustrated :-(

I'm not sure yet but after playing with it a bit it seems that if you load the images into the default Revit location (C:\Program Files\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010\Data\Rendering\assetlibrary_base.fbm\Materials\Generic\Presets) you can get the materials to stick. Good luck!
