Hi In Revit 2009, the wall faces used to highlight while dimensioning when we hover over them. Why don't they highlight for me in Revit 2010? In snap options under settings there's no option for snapping the dimensions to wall faces. Please help Thanks

Did you use the TAB key to select that?

When I hit 'tab key' it gives me a ping sound and nothing on drawing area. The status bar reads "select references;then click in empty space to place dimension. Press spacebar to toggle between horizontal and vertical" And in order to enter 'wall face' as reference, there is no wall face 'snap' option under settings. Thank you

I don't know what are you doing wrong, in Manage>Settings>temporary dimensions select "faces" then if you need (and you do) select the work plane you want and dimension...

Bringing this thread back to life! I belive I had your same problem so I found an answer on another forum. "The Aligned dimension is what you want to use to get the standard behavior you are used to. In 2009 the default was "aligned" and it was set on the options bar. In 2010 the user can pick which dimension they want directly form the ribbon. I would say using "aligned" wil do what you want 90% of the time." Hope this helps!
