it started out in one project.  I'd try to import a family (window, furniture, etc.) and as soon as I'd click on the file, Revit would crash.

Now it happens in every project.  Can anyone advise me?  I have stuff to get done on a deadline and don't have time to completely redo it in 2009

oh yeah, running Windows XP professional (SP3) with all drivers updated (graphics card, mobo, etc.)

Pent 4 at 3.2 ghz.

2 gigs of RAM

NVIDIA Quadro FX 3400/4400

never had a single problem with either Revit 2008 or 2009

I have tried options presented in that thread (even posted in it myself hehe) and am above the requirements needed for the program.  Still crashes every time I try to import a family.

I hate to say it, but I don't know what that is hehe

once I find out though, it's really easy to replicate a crash

if you go to Program Files/Autodesk Revit Architecture 2010/Journals it will be a .txt file with the latest time on it

increasing your virtual RAM may help the problem, but I recommend getting more physical RAM. You don't have enough thats for sure.
