Hello,

I am making a model of a 3D diagram with varying shapes made from masses. Certain shapes are to be rendered opaque with flat colors and others as transparent objects with color (please refer to Sketch Up image below for clarity). I am using Revit Architecture 2009 and so far my attempts to render the transparent masses have failed. Allow me to explain:

-I make a mass, go to its properties before "Finish Mass" and apply to it a material (ex: A default material with a particular color)

-Within its Rendered Appearance Tab, under Transparency I set the transparency to 1 = 100%

-When rendered through the basic Revit Rendering Plugin - that object appears opaque with the flat color.

Is there a way to render objects in Revit that are transparent similar to the Sketch Up image posted below?
