Our team has run into what seems to be a weakness in Revit.  We have several specialty finishes on walls in our project.  These finishes are identified in the Wall Types, ie a wall which has tile on it has the tile shown in the wall type structure in the Element Properties dialogue box.   We are able to label ceiling and floor finish specs with no problem.

Since this is a wall type, when we label elevations with tile (for example) the label shows the wall type, but not the finish spec.  What I need is a way to show the spec for the wall finishes:  The finish, color, manufacturer, et. of the finish.   We have seven different paint colors distributed throughout the project, as well as 5 types of wall tile, fabric panels, and wood wallcovering.

I hope this is understandable, and any suggestions would be appreciated.

 Thanks

Dina

Be creative.  Wall tags can be set to read various fields that are already in your walls as well as other shared parameters.
