Hi All, straight to the point.........revit 2009.......

Can i make room names or any typed text in plan view appear in section's..........what is the point if i have to type room names again in sections........if there is a way out pls. help me with direction........Mr. W

".......what is the point if i have to..."  Sounds like you already have an argument but I won't start one.

 

If you have rooms on, you can put Room Tags in sections.  Did you try?  Make sure rooms and Room Tags are on in VG.

 

Copy text from a plan and paste in a section?  Again - did you try?  Click on text - copy to clipboard - open section and paste.

wwhub, i guess you have to read my request again.......see in architectural drawings (plans) there are rooms and room names...and when you cut a section on that plan you see the section and between walls you need to write the room you are showing in section.......now i ask again, is it possible to get the room names from plan reflect in the section. any one help...

Hi WWhub,

i don't think you have to do the above. once you turn on the reference you can just use the Room Tag tool in the section and it will auto fill the Room Names or am i mistaken about what you were saying. were you refering to the Room Names or just text.
