i'm trying to draw a circle on a floor plan to show handicap clear floor area. i would think i want a detail line, not a model line. (i understand the difference)...but it gives me a message that it is "not visible in the current view"...i've encountered this before, but for some reason, i cant remember how to correct this.

any help would be appreciated, thanks.

i think i figured it out. the detail lines are drawn on the work plane...which is the floor. However, i have a floor finish (VCT) on top of the floor that is covering the detail line.  I guess i need to make the level height to be the top of the VCT? (that stinks)

You said you knew the difference between detail and model lines.  Detail lines are strictly 2D.  They are on top of everything.  You are using model lines!
