We had not noticed the following problem until 2009.  In the past, exports from Revit turned off opaque text in the CAD file.   Now in 2009 and 2010, REVIT exports the file according to your text settings... that is opaque text has an opaque masking region behind the text and transparent text doesn't.

You would think this is a good thing because it is exporting text according to your settings.  But, this change in process has revealed a BAD export problem.  REVIT  does not export the text correctly as you will see from the attached images.

In the Revit file on the left, you can see multi-line text areas that go between the dashed lines.  In the dwg export on the right, you can see that the left text now hides part of the text on the right.

When checking out the CAD file, I found that hard returns were added to keep the text looking the same but what is worse was the text box limits were expanded and spaces were added to the lines before the returns thus masking the text on the right.

BE AWARE !
