Hi all, I am trying to create a roof with a split pitch. I have created the roof in two parts and have joined them. However, the two segments do not seem to join seemlessly. Refer attached image. Have I joined the roofs correctly? cadjockey

I would suggest turning on thin lines and making sure that the two edges are aligned, and then use join geometry on the roofs. Post edited on 2005-07-29 12:04:36

Depending on the foot print, roof by extrusion might be the easier way to have this clean up. If you've got a gable or something then this won't be possible. The other option would be to set the edge on the upper roof to have a two-cut plumb edge with an fascia depth to match that of the lower. The only way to have it correctly mitre would be to have an in-place family do the work for the lower roof... That way you could make it the required profile to cleanup properly... HTH.
